Girl Talks And A Whole Lotta Epic Failures. LOL.

Had another wonderful bonding session with my gals this weekend after a long and tiring week. We had our little "slumber party" at Sarah's pad in Makati. Good thing Insan (Kathy) has a car (lol, peace girl. don't want you to think I like your car more than you. HUGS!), I had no trouble bringing Artemis along for work (Oh yeah, by the way, Artemis is my new laptop. Apollo's LCD screen is apparently dead right now and would cost me 15grand to replace it... so getting a new one is more practical); had to write the script for the show the following night.

We had Wendy's delivered for dinner. Ah, stuffed with macaroni salad, soggy french fries, vanilla almond ice cream, chips and just enough booze - nothing too much. We actually planned to have a movie marathon with the films suggested by Sarah, but we spent a whole lot of time converting these movie files and trying make things work... haha, it was a total epic failure because in the end, we settled to watch through Sarah's Macbook. Geez, all the trouble. Haha.

We had tons of stories to tell - me and Sarah's career lives, Kathy's bar examination for law. Our conversations were actually meaningful. We spent the night and the morning after just talking and hearing our opinions on things that matter.

In the morning, we went to this 'sophisticated market' in the park near the condominium, just a couple of blocks away. There were all sorts of stuff, food and there was even a group of some sort of indigenous people making music and dancing and dancing! It was a happy place on a Saturday morning. We bought brunch. Kathy had chicken embutido, tofu and chili, and rice. Sarah had shrimp something pasta. I had a tray of makis and sushis, and a kebab on pita. After that we hurried home because Kathy's expecting visitors that afternoon. It was really sweet of her to drive us - first to our place so can I drop off my stuff and get a smaller hand bag, and then all the way to Sarah's place where we're supposed to do the template for one of her work projects. Another epic failure because she kinda missed out the fact that there's no Adobe InDesign installed in her Macbook. So we just went to Azta to get her hair done.

Good thing we were able to track Alex down. He's my favorite Azta stylist. He cut Sarah's hair to a pixie-like do, and helped us pick a good color for it. Long hours of waiting paid off because the new look actually fits her. Alex even gave tips to style it. Woohoo! Then we're off to Katipunan for dinner (had 9pm call time in JesCom for the show). It was sweet of Sarah to treat me a nice fish, lettuce and tomato sandwich from Pancake House. Yuh-um!

Just another memory I'll forever keep in my heart. Wonder when's our next bonding session. Hopefully, Eena could join us with our little angel, Shaia. =) Tootles!
